You can call me arrow.
Or Arrow.
So, where did that name come from? I'm a very creative person. I thought of the name "ArrowsUnited" when I did not feel any creative at all. It was late August, 04, when Conquer Online was still a decent F2P game.
Then the forum.
I didn't even change my name at all.
It's still ArrowsUnited, even to this day.
Why do I have a blog here?
Someone suggested that I should blog about it, the trip that ended 7 days ago last week. So I'll start off here with the early segment of that trip.
I debated whether or not I should sleep. Behind me was a comfy bed, and in front of me - Facebook, and the "How much rep/nep thread do you have" thread. Downstairs, Wii. But regardless of my decision, I had to keep it down. My dad was going to drive, and he really needed the sleep.
I chose not to sleep, until 2am, I thought it would be nice to slip in 30 minutes of sleep, before the alarm clock, which was set at 2:45 am. It didn't work. My anticipation to sleep had the opposite effect as I expected, so I had a totally sleepless night.
Later on, everything was loaded onto the van. Loading, I thought, was made a bigger hassle than it needed to be. In the van packed a lot of unnecessary things. Golf clubs, and a large amount of food. It was sooo filled up, it left about one third of the rear window clear to see through.
Now let me introduce you to my favourite radio station here in Toronto. Z 103.5. Great music, great announcers, great radio. My favourite part is in the morning, with Scott Fox and the morning show, being DavE Blezard, Ashley Greco, and even though he's really mentioned as part of the crew, Marcello, the assistant who is often heard laughing in the background.
That Monday, they were going to play recordings of the morning show's best moment of the 2008 we've so far reached. When the time came, I switched on the radio, and set it to that one station. Unfortunately enough, I fell asleep. I just slept, and I slept, and I slept until I was waken up.
It was bright enough. It was just almost 8 am, I thought that we were in a gas station, but it wasn't.
Guess what happened.
Because so much unnecessary stuff was packed into the van, the customs didn't really take it lightly. So I had to move aside into the building while they did their thing. See what's the deal with the big stack of junk.
Oh and guess what. I was wearing a t-shirt. I just woke up. I was sitting in a heavily air conditioned building.
It sucked.
